Forestry Mulching is an excellent alternative to more traditional methods of managing forest. It is both eco-friendly AND cost effective.

Trees and vegetation are dealt with where they stand - no need for cutting, hauling, burning or other site clearing. No need for additional machines (and expense!) like bulldozers, chippers, etc. - this also decreases fuel requirements and emissions!

The mulch left behind holds the ground in place. In addition to preventing erosion, it also helps fertilize and protect the plants that remain.

Mulching reduces the potential for wildfires by eliminating small leafy plants, fallen or rotten trees, and other fuel sources. Left unmanaged, these increase the potential for fire, increase the heat intensity if there is a fire, and serve as fire ladders that enable flames to elevate quickly to the tops of trees which is where a fire can spread most quickly.
